The expansion of Al Faw, divided between the industrial area and urban area, is situated in the extreme south of the Al Faw peninsula.
The new expansion includes:

- The realization of a longitudinal axis and a lagoon parallel to the river 
- The creation of a transversal grid, perpendicular to the river, as a reference module for the design of the urban plot grid.
